Garmin Vivosmart 5 Fitness Tracker Launched In India: Specifications, Features, Price

Garmin has introduced its new fitness tracker, the Garmin Vivosmart 5, in India. It was launched in the global markets in April 2022, and has now arrived in the country after a few months. The fitness tracker packs in a vibrant OLED display, GPS, long-lasting battery, in-built sports apps, all-day heart rate tracking, and a host of health monitoring features.

Garmin Vivosmart 5: Features, Specifications

The Garmin Vivosmart 5 is a compact smart fitness tracker. It is made up of polycarbonate and silicone materials, and comes in small, medium, and large sizes. It now sports a larger 0.41-inch x 0.73-inch OLED display with a display resolution of 88 x 154 pixels. 

The tracker allows you to view text messages, alerts, calendar notifications, weather updates, music control, and even social media updates on the tiny screen. It supports both Android and Apple devices. The Vivosmart 5 lacks an in-built GPS but you can pair it with your smartphone for step counts, distance, speed, and more.  

The Garmin Vivosmart 5 brings a slew of health monitoring features such as 24/7 heart rate monitoring, resting heart statistics, abnormal heart rate alerts, blood oxygen saturation levels, respiration rate, sleep tracking, and more. It can also provide data on your daily stress, energy, hydration, and women’s health.  

Additionally, the Garmin Vivosmart 5 includes features to track your outdoor activities. It can show you the calories burnt, distance travelled, intensity minutes, etc. and set auto goals during your fitness regime. Moreover, it bundles in training, planning, and analysis features like HR Zones, HR alerts, HR calories, V02 Max, and interval training, among others. 

Garmin says the Vivosmart 5 is designed to be worn all day and is shower-proof and swim-proof. The battery is reported to last for seven days on a single charge with normal usage. Extensive usage of the pulse oximeter or sleep tracker might deplete the battery faster.

The Garmin Vivosmart 5 is priced at ₹14,990 in India. It will be available for purchase via Garmin Brand Store, Amazon, and Flipkart from June 10 2022. It comes in mint and black colour options.
