Google Working On Improving Gmail Search With New Features

Google is releasing a bunch of new capabilities with labels and related results to enhance the search experience in Gmail. With AI-generated summaries and integrated threading for Spaces, Chat has also received some improvements. Google will now enable you to search messages under a certain Gmail label on both the Android and iOS apps. In order to enhance the overall search experience, Gmail on the web will also provide “related results” when your search yields nothing.

With iOS compatibility coming by the end of this month, Google Chat now offers suggestions when you search through your messages on Android. Both personal and Google Workspace accounts can access these functionalities. The ability to “view summaries that give a helpful breakdown of talks in a place” is another feature that Chat is offering. Similar to this, inline threading will also start arriving for Spaces.

Furthermore, Google will allow you to present Slides in Meet sessions soon. To get this to work, choose the Tab option, then your open presentation after being prompted by the Present menu. The deck will take up most of the Meet UI, and you will receive the next/last control in the bottom-right corner. Meanwhile, the bottom will house the controls for video calling.
