Back in June, Google said that it will merge its two video calling services into one and upgrade Google Duo to include all of Google Meet’s capabilities. In addition to your current video calling choices, this upgrade, which started rolling out last month, now gives everyone access to extra features. These include scheduling and joining meetings, virtual backgrounds, in-meeting chat, and much more.
Google has also given Google Meet a live sharing option. All participants can engage with the live-shared content thanks to this functionality. All attendees can co-watch YouTube videos, create a Spotify playlist, play Heads Up!, and a lot more.

Google Meet New Features: Availability
Users are starting to notice an upgrade to Google Meet for the app’s name and icon after Google said it started rolling out these new capabilities to the Duo app over the previous few weeks. This particular update will be available to mobile and tablet users throughout the month and will be rolling out to additional devices later this year.
