Last month, Google had officially unveiled that it will launch the Google Pixel 6 and the Google Pixel 6 Pro smartphones later this fall. Additionally, the internet giant had revealed some key specifications of the smartphones, including the Google Tensor processor, camera layout, and design. The Pixel 6 Pro is expected to feature a polished aluminum frame and a triple-camera setup. Now, ahead of the official launch, some more specifications of the Google Pixel 6 Pro have been confirmed, courtesy of new information found by XDA Developers.

As of now, it isn’t known if the Pixel 6 Pro will have support for the variable refresh rate, but it will most likely have the feature. The Google Pixel 6 series will not have Active Edge support found on older Pixel phones.
The Pixel 6 series features Google’s first in-house processor: Google Tensor. It has 12GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The upcoming Pixel devices are also said to come with UWB (Ultra Wideband) connectivity. According to information found in firmware files, Google will use Samsung’s Exynos 5123 5G modem in the Pixel 6 series. The folks at XDA Developers claim that they have discovered references related to “g5123b” in the phone’s radio firmware.

Coming to the cameras, Google will feature a triple-camera setup for the Pixel 6 Pro. The camera module is expected to include Samsung’s 50MP GN1 image sensor, a 12MP ultrawide camera (Sony IMX386), and a 48MP telephoto camera (Sony IMX586) with a 4x optical zoom lens. The front-facing camera features a 12MP resolution. It is also revealed that the Pixel 6 Pro won’t support reverse wireless charging.
A 5,000mAh battery is said to power the Pixel 6 Pro. Other features include 5G, GPS, Wi-Fi 6E (6GHz Wi-Fi), stereo speakers, an IP68 rating, an optical under-display fingerprint. On the software front, the Pixel 6 series will run Android 12 out of the box. Expect the phone to come in three colours: Bisque, Granite Gray, and Platinum.
