Google had teased the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and the new Pixel Watch at its I/O conference. Now, the search-engine giant has confirmed the launch date of these devices. The company announced on Twitter that it will launch the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel watch on October 6, 2022. The event will take place in the Williamsburg neighborhood of NYC. The Pixel 7 series launch event will start at 10 AM ET (7:30 PM) and it will be live streamed.

As confirmed by Google, the all-new Pixel 7 series will be powered by a new Tensor G2 chip. Additionally, the company has revealed the colour options of the new Pixel 7 lineup. The Pixel 7 will be available in Obsidian, Lemongrass, and Snow colour options, while the Pixel 7 Pro will debut in Obsidian, Hazel, and Snow colour variants.
Google Pixel 7 Series Specifications (Expected)
The Pixel 7 series will include a horizontal strip across the rear-facing camera. The Pixel 7 Pro will feature a triple-camera setup, while the standard Pixel 7 will flaunt a dual-camera setup. As per past leaks, both phones will have a 50MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. The Pro model is also rumoured to include a 48MP telephoto lens.
The vanilla Pixel 7 model is expected to sport a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, while the Pixel 7 Pro might boast of a 6.7-inch display that could offer QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the software side of things, both the phones will undoubtedly run Android 13 OS with stock Android UI on top. The handsets will have an under-display fingerprint sensor for security.
