Google has finally started rolling out the latest Android 12 February security patch to its Pixel devices. The brand has rolled out the official OTA update for its Pixel 3a, Pixel 4, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, and Pixel 6 Pro devices. The latest update brings about the February Android security patch and a host of bug fixes. Let’s take a look at the latest update for the aforementioned Pixel devices and find out what it has in store for us.

The Android 12 February patch has two different dates and while 2022-02-01 fixes 16 issues, the 2022-02-05 update patches 21 vulnerabilities. In the latest Android Security and Privacy Year in Review, Google states that “no critical security vulnerabilities affecting the Android platform were publicly disclosed without a security update or mitigation available for Android devices”. Furthermore, security patches have witness an 84 percent year-over-year growth during Q4, 2018 compared with the prior year.

As far as build numbers go, the Google Pixel 6 and the Google Pixel 6 Pro devices get the build number 003, while the remaining receive the latest update with the build number 002. If you want to download the latest update for your respective Pixel device, you can do so from here:
