Google unveiled the Google Pixel Buds Pro, alongside the Pixel 6a, at the Google I/O 2022 event yesterday. The Pixel Buds Pro come as a premium edition of in-ear truly wireless earbuds. The earbuds feature active noise cancellation, a transparency mode, multiple access Bluetooth connectivity, and IPX4 water-resistant rating, among other features.
Let’s take a closer look at the pricing, specifications, and features of the newly launched Google Pixel Buds Pro.
Google Pixel Buds Pro: Pricing, Availability
The Google Pixel Buds Pro are priced at $199 (around ₹15,390). The earbuds are offered in four colour options—Lemongrass, Charcoal, Fog, and Coral. The company has announced that the Buds Pro will be available for pre-order starting July 21, alongside the newly released Pixel 6a smartphone.
Google Pixel Buds Pro: Features, Specifications
The Google Pixel Buds Pro will be the first Pixel Buds to feature active noise cancellation accompanied by a Silent Seal feature. The earbuds use a custom 6-core audio processor, which uses tailored algorithms to cancel out noise. Further, the Silent Seal feature helps to achieve maximum noise cancellation by adapting to the shape of your ears.

The Pixel Buds Pro feature an 11mm custom-designed dynamic speaker driver for a clear and natural sound. They also have a transparency mode that allows ambient sound to enter your ears, so that you do not miss important cues without having to remove your earbuds. Further, the earbuds use pressure sensors to actively measure pressure within your ears to make them comfortable. Notably, the Google Pixel Buds pro will receive spatial audio support via an update later this year.
Other primary features of the Google Pixel Buds Pro include beamforming microphones, a voice-accelerometer, wind-blocking, multipoint connectivity, touch controls, and hands-free Google Assistant with real-time translation. The earbuds are IPX4 and the casing is IPX2 rated.
Speaking of their battery life, the Pixel Buds Pro claim to offer up to 31 hours of music playback with the charging case, when the Active Noise Cancellation mode is off. A mere 5-minute charge of earbuds in the charging case delivers up to 1 hour of listening time, and a 15-minute charge of earbuds in the charging case delivers up to 3 hours of listening time. Coming to dimensions, each earbud measures 22.33 × 22.03 × 23.72 mm and weighs around 0.22 grams.
