Google has rolled out two new privacy and safety features that allow users to remove their personal information out of the Search results or the Google app. Users may opt to remove information such as contact numbers, addresses, and email IDs. Similarly, the tech giant has introduced My Ad Center to allow users more control over ads. Both the features were announced during the recently held Google I/O 2022.

This includes withdrawal of sensitive contact information such as phone number, email address, and home address. To facilitate the removal of any such information, Google has added a new “Manage results about you” section within the Google app.

In order to remove any search results associated with yourself, you will need to submit a request via the Google app. Your information will be removed once Google approves your request. Alternatively, you can choose to request for information removal right out of the Search results by pressing the three dots next to them.
Additionally, Google has introduced another tool called My Ad Center that allows you complete control when it comes to watching ads. You can manage categories, topics, and more things that you like or dislike based on which Google tailors ads for you. Moreover, you can also turn off personalized ads altogether from the My Ad Center.
Furthermore, My Ad Center also allows you to control what sort of advertisements are shown to you on Google-owned platforms, including the Google Search results, YouTube, and the Google Discover feed. Google will reportedly add more privacy settings under the My Ad Center at the end of this year.
