Honor has introduced its Honor Pad X8 tablet alongside the Honor X40 smartphones in its home country, China. It is a budget offering by the company and brings improvements in design and features over the Honor Tablet X7. The Honor Pad X8 offers a large 10.1-inch display, MediaTek Helio chipset, single rear camera, stereo speakers, 5100mAh battery, and USB Type-C port, among other features.
Honor Pad X8: Features, Specifications
Despite being a budget laptop, the Honor X8 comes with a premium aluminium alloy metal body with a thickness of just 7.55mm. It boasts a large 10.1-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution and 224 PPI. The tablet is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, which is built on the 12nm fabrication process. It comprises two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores accompanied by a Mali-G52 GPU. The tablet is equipped with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The memory can be expanded further by up to 512GB via a microSD card slot.
Talking about its camera setup, there’s a single 5MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2. Video calling duties are handled by a 2MP front-facing snapper with an f/2.2 aperture.

Honor Pad X8: Price, Availability
The Honor Pad X8 comes at a starting price of CNY 1199 (approx. ₹13,600) for the 4GB RAM+128GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM+128GB version is priced at CNY 1299 (approx. ₹14,800) in China. The pre-orders are live and it will go on sale in China on September 22, 2022. There’s no word about its availability in India yet.
