HP has refreshed its Omen 16 lineup for 2022 with the Intel Core i9-12900H and AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX CPU configuration. The brand claims that the new Omen 16 model offers new performance hardware and an upgraded cooling system. The laptop gets a 16-inch display with a QHD resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. Thanks to the new cooling system, the Omen 16 now showcases a 36 percent improvement in CPU performance compared to 2021 Omen 16 models.

HP has introduced the HP Omen 16 2022 in two CPU configuration. Both these laptop variants sports a 16-inch IPS LCD display with a QHD resolution. The display panel has a 16:9 aspect ratio, 165Hz refresh rate, and 300 nits brightness. The laptop can also be purchased with a Full HD display, which comes with 60Hz and 144Hz refresh rate. Moreover, users have the option to get this new laptop either with up to a 12th Gen Core i9-12900H CPU or the Ryzen 9 6900HX processor. The company’s Dynamic Power which is built into the onboard Omen Gaming Hub app can reportedly balance CPU and GPU power to offer steady performance without throttling.

The HP Omen 16 (2022) run 5 percent quieter and has a 14 percent cooler SSD temperature compared to its predecessor. The laptop supports up to 32GB DDR5 4800 MHz RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen4x4 SSD storage. The graphical performance on the Omen 16 Intel variant is handled by an NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU, while the AMD model also has an optional AMD Radeon RX 6650M GPU.

When it comes to connectivity, the laptop features one SuperSpeed USB Type-A port, two HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB Type-C ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, and a multi-format SD media card reader. It runs Windows 11 Home and also has dual speakers.

The Intel version of the Omen 16 2022 comes in new Ceramic White and Shadow Black colour options. On the other hand, the AMD model comes in a Mica Silver colour. The HP Omen 16 2022 will begin shipping this summer and can be purchased via HP.com and Best Buy for a starting price of $1,199.99 (roughly ₹93,400).
