HP’s Omen lineup is more popular for its gaming laptops. In an attempt to diversify the lineup, HP has arrived in Sin City for the CES 2022 with a range of Omen gaming desktops. These come in multiple screen sizes to appeal to a wider audience.
Josephine Tan, Global Head and General Manager, Consumer PCs at HP said:
“Our CES line-up was designed to keep gamers social, connected, and entertained with an amazing hardware and software ecosystem that reflects their individual needs.”
HP Omen 45L Features
The HP Omen 45L desktop computer is bigger than the previously launched Omen 40. It boasts a patented Omen Cryo Chamber, which is placed outside the PC interior case section. The chamber houses up to 350mm AiO liquid cooler and sucks in cool air from the outside.
HP says that the Cryo Chamber can reduce CPU temperatures by six degrees celsius when compared to conventional designs. The cabinet also gets an air intake at the front helping the three 140mm RGB fans to suck cool air.
The HP Omen 45L will come with Intel’s 12th Generation Core i9-12900K or AMD’s Ryzen 9 5900X CPU options. The graphics will be handled by the Nvidia RTX 3090. It is equipped with up to 64GB of RAM and up to 2TB of NVMe SSD storage. The HP Omen 45L will go on sale from January 5, 2022 onwards for a starting price of $1,899 (roughly ₹1,41,170).
HP Omen 25L Features
The HP Omen 25L misses out on the Omen Cryo Chamber. It gets a new paint job and tempered glass side panel. The desktop PC is expected to be powered with up to 12th-generation Intel Alder Lake Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors. For graphical duties, it will come with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU. It will be equipped with one 120mm fan at the front and a single-fan AIO liquid cooler for the CPU.
Omen 27u Gaming Monitor Features
The new HP Omen 27u gaming monitor will join the previously launched HP Omen 27i monitor in the lineup. It will boast a native 4K screen resolution as opposed to the 2560 x 1440 QHD of the Omen 27i monitor. The monitor also hits maximum brightness levels of 450 nits, higher than the Omen 27i. It comes with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR 400, 95 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and true 8-bit colour. The Omen 27u is also the brand’s first monitor to support HDMI 2.1. It offers compatibility with all the current gaming consoles and PCs.
