Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 With 3K Display, Shark Fin Cooling Launched

Huawei’s new premium and ultra-slim MateBook X Pro 2022 laptop succeeds the previous 2021 model and brings a lot of improvements. It sports a bigger display and improved thermal efficiency. It can support Intel’s Core i5 or Core i7 Tiger Lake-U processors. It can be paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512GB/1TB NVMe PCIe SSD storage. The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 will run on the latest Windows 11 out of the box.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 laptop features a premium build with just 15.5mm thickness and 1.38 kg weight. It comes with a 14.2-inch 3K LTPS IPS display with a brightness of 500 nits. The notebook gets a 10-point multi-touch support and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The display supports the P3 and sRGB dual colour gamut and is capable of displaying 1.07 billion colours. The bezels around the screen are very slim as it comes with a 92.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. 

The new Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 comes in two variants powered by an Intel Core i7-1195G7 processor and an Intel Core i5-1155G7 processor with Intel Iris XE graphics. It will be equipped with up to 16 GB LPDDR4 RAM. 

Huawei is bullish about its improved thermal tech when compared to its predecessor. It states that the new dual Shark Fin fan cooling system coupled with the ultra-slim VC heat dissipation modules, provides excellent heat dissipation and improves its performance. The smart temperature control system allows the laptop to operate silently. 

It comes with a large trackpad that gets 100 percent detection coverage enabling responsive control, gestures, swipe to adjust the volume, as well as screenshots. The keyboard is back-lit with 1.5mm key travel and a num pad.  

The Huawei MateBook X Pro is loaded with six speakers and a split-frequency setup. The speakers, subwoofers, and Huawei Sound are said to work in tandem to provide an immersive sound experience. There are four microphones on-board for AI Noise Cancellation and a 360-degree voice pickup up to a range of 5 metres. For video calling purposes, it gets a 720p HD camera at the front. 

Other noteworthy features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, four USB Type-C ports, a 3.5mm jack, fingerprint reader, and a pressure-sensitive trackpad. The laptop comes with a 60Wh battery under its hood coupled with 65W USB-C fast charging. 

Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 Price, Availability

Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 with Intel Core i5 (16GB RAM+512GB of storage) is priced at CNY 9,499 (approx. ₹1,12,000). The Intel Core i7 variant (16GB RAM+512GB of storage) is priced at CNY 10,499 (approx. ₹1,24,000) while the 1TB variant comes at CNY 12,499 (approx. Rs. 1,48,000). The laptop will be available in Emerald, Silver, and Space Gray colour options. It will go on sale in China from January 6 onwards.
