Infinix has launched a new entry-level handset—the Infinix Smart 6 in the Indian market. The Smart 6 is the successor to last year’s Infinix Smart 5 and comes with the industry’s first antibacterial back design. The all-new Infinix Smart 6 is an entry-level offering and packs quite basic hardware.

The Infinix Smart 6 comes in a single configuration—2GB + 64GB and is priced at ₹7,499. The handset will be available for purchase starting May 6 exclusively via Flipkart.

The Smart 6 features a 6.82-inch TFT LCD display panel with an HD+ (1600 x 720 pixel) resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The brightness of the display panel can go as high as 500nits and comes with a waterdrop notch.

The latest entry-level handset from Infinix sports a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor under the hood, coupled with IMG PowerVR GPU. The Helio A22 is quite an old processor and is built on a 12nm fabrication process. The handset offers 2GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

The Smart 6 offers a dual-rear camera setup with a dual-tone LED flash. It includes an 8MP rear camera and a depth camera. For selfies and video calls, the handset relies on a 5MP shooter with an LED flash.

The latest entry-level Infinix smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit and 10W charging support. It has a micro-USB charging port, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a dedicated micro-SD card slot which supports up to 512GB, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Infinix Smart 6 comes in two colour options—Heart of Ocean and Polar Black. It weighs 195grams and measures 165.5 x 76.4 x 8.8mm. In terms of connectivity, it offers dual-SIM, 4G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS. The smartphone boots XOS 7.6, based on Android 11 Go Edition.
