Instagram has unveiled new features for its users to control their content in a more secure way. The update was rolled out as part of its Safer Internet Day initiatives, and allows users to delete the app content in bulk. Instagram users will also be able to review their past interactions using new shortcuts introduced by the app. Let’s take a closer look at the new Instagram features.

Get the latest technology news, reviews, and opinions on tech products right into your inboxInstagram, in an attempt to make the platform safer for young people, has rolled out a couple of new features, which allow the app users to visit their past timeline and delete their posts, stories, IGTV videos, Reels, and other content interactions, including likes and comments. The new app controls will also let you delete your past content or interactions in bulk without the need to delete your Instagram account to get rid of that history.

Users can access these features from a new section added to their profile called “Your Activity”. The section will have shortcuts to review the past posts, stories, comments, likes, search history, and link clicks on the app. With this change, users will not have to manually scroll through their entire Instagram feed to delete a post.
Moreover, there are shortcuts to review any changes that you made to your Instagram account in the past, including your username. You can also view your likes and comments posted on other user’s feed, giving you control to delete anything you don’t like from the past posts. The new update lets you filter the past content and interactions by date.
