While WhatsApp will make its way to the iPad at some point in the future, there hardly seems to be hope for Instagram users. Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri’s recent comment about the matter gives no hint about the launch of an Instagram app for iPad in the future. It has been more than a decade since the app was launched and users have been waiting for it to roll out for iPad.

In a reply that sounded repetitive, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said that the number of people asking for the feature is not big enough to be treated as priority. He further added that the company might get to it at some point, but is currently focusing on other important things.
Presumably, the recent reply does not come as a surprise to the millions of iPad users, as the Instagram CEO has repeated the same thing in the past.

In the absence of an Instagram app for iPad, users have to browse the platform on a web browser, or they just end up scrolling through an iPhone-sized Instagram app on their tablets. That hinders iPad users’ experience because, unlike on smartphones, they would like to enjoy the Instagram content on a bigger screen without having to strain their eyes.
There are various other apps missing on the iPad that users have to somehow put up with. However, there appear to be plenty of reasons for Instagram to start working on a native iPad app, considering how the app is widely used across the world. Moreover, Apple has shipped millions of iPads across the globe in the last quarter of 2021, proving that there is no dearth of iPad users.
