iQOO, at an event today, launched the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro handsets in the Indian market. iQOO has rebranded the iQOO 8 (Chinese variant) as the iQOO 9 for the Indian market. The iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series processors and support 120W fast charging. Both these handsets offer Gimbal Camera features and are available in the BMW Motorsport Legend variant. The iQOO 9 comes in two configurations—8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB, whereas the Pro variant comes in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants.

The iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro are both already up for pre-order exclusively via Amazon.in. As a launch offer, iQOO is offering ₹4,000 and ₹6,000 discounts on the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro respectively with ICICI Credit Cards. Buyers can also avail ₹4,000 and ₹3,000 additional bump-up exchange on purchase of the iQOO 9 Pro and iQOO 9 respectively. For existing iQOO users, the company is offering up to ₹10,000 bump-up exchange value.

It has a 10-bit LTPO 2.0 display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 300Hz sampling rate. The display supports 1,500nits peak brightness, an 80,00,000:1 contrast ratio, and HDR10+ certification. It also houses an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and a centered punch-hole notch.
Under the hood, the iQOO 9 Pro packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor that is built on Samsung’s 4nm fabrication process. The system on chip comes with Adreno 730 GPU, X65 5G modem, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. It boots Android 12 with Vivo’s proprietary FunTouchOS skin on top.
The iQOO 9 Pro offers a 50MP triple-rear camera setup and an LED flash. The primary shooter on the 9 Pro is a 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor with a 1/1.57 sensor size, an F1.75 aperture, OIS, and Gimbal Stabilization. Accompanying it is a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 150° field of view and an F2.27 aperture. The smartphone also has a 16MP portrait lens with a 60mm focal length, an F2.23 aperture, 2.5x optical zoom, and OIS. For selfies, the iQOO 9 Pro relies on a 16MP shooter with an F2.45 aperture.
The iQOO 9 Pro is equipped with a 4,700mAh battery with 120W FlashCharge fast charging. The smartphone also supports wireless charging at 50W. It offers a Type-C charging port, a dual speaker setup, an intelligent display chip, and 4D Game Vibration. Since it lacks a 3.5mm audio jack, audio is routed through the Type-C port. In terms of connectivity, it offers Dual-SIM, 5G (14 bands) Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GPS.
The iQOO 9 Pro retails in two variants—Dark Cruise and Legend. The handset measures 164.81 × 77.0 × 8.0mm and weighs 210grams.

The iQOO 9 Indian variant features a 6.56-inch 10-bit AMOLED display with a Full HD+ (2,376 × 1,080 pixel) resolution and 19.8:9 aspect ratio. It has a 120Hz refresh rate panel that supports a 60,00,000:1 contrast ratio and is HDR10+ certified. The display features an optical in-display fingerprint scanner and houses the front selfie shooter inside a centered punch hole notch.
Powering the iQOO 9 is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC that is fabbed on a 5nm process. The system on chip brings with it an integrated Adreno 660, X60 5G modem, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. Similar to the Pro variant, the iQOO 9 also boots Android 12.
The iQOO 9 offers a triple-rear camera setup with an LED flash. The device features a 48MP Sony IMX598 sensor with an F1.79 aperture and Gimbal stablization. Accompanying it is a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120° field of view and an F2.2 aperture. There is also a 13MP portrait lens with a 50mm focal length, 2x optical zoom, and an F2.46 aperture on the device. For selfies and video calls, it relies on a 16MP shooter with an F2.45 aperture.
The iQOO 9 is equipped with a 4,350mAh battery unit and supports 120W FlashCharge fast charging. It has a Type-C charging port, a dual stereo speaker setup, an intelligent display chip, a liquid cooling system, and the dual monster touch feature.
