iQOO has launched the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro handsets in China. The iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and come pre-loaded with Android 12. The iQOO 9 series handsets offer triple rear camera setups with 50MP Samsung GN5 sensors. These devices pack 4,700mAh batteries and support 120W fast charging. iQOO 9 5G Specifications and Features
The iQOO 9 flaunts a 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2,400 × 1,080) pixel resolution, 19.8:9 aspect ratio, and 1,500nits peak brightness. The display supports an 80,00,000:1 contrast ratio and features a 120Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+ certification. It also houses an optical in-display fingerprint scanner and a centered punch-hole notch.
Powering the iQOO 9 Pro is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor that is built on Samsung’s 4nm fabrication process. An integrated Adreno 730 GPU takes care of the graphics-related tasks. It packs up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512GB UFS3.1 storage. The handset comes preloaded with Android 12 with OriginOS Ocean on top.

The primary sensor on the device is a 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor with a 1/1.57 sensor size, f/1.75 aperture, and OIS. Accompanying it is a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 120° field of view, and f/2.2 aperture. There is also a 12MP portrait lens with 47mm focal length and f/1.98 aperture. For selfies and video calls, it offers a 16MP shooter with an f/2.45 aperture.
The iQOO 9 is equipped with a 4,700mAh battery unit, 120W fast charging support, and a Type-C charging port. In terms of connectivity, it offers Dual-SIM, 5G, 4G, Dual-band WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and QZSS. It measures 164.55 × 76.7 × 8.37mm and weighs 206grams. The handset retails in three colour options—Black, Orange, and BMW Motorsport Edition.
iQOO 9 Pro 5G Specifications and Features
The iQOO 9 Pro features a 10-bit LTPO 2.0 display with Quad HD+ (3200 × 1440), 517ppi pixel density, and a 300Hz sampling rate. The rest of the specifications of the display panel remain the same as vanilla iQOO 9.
Moving on to the cameras, the iQOO 9 Pro is equipped with a 50MP triple-rear camera setup and an LED flash. The primary shooter on the handset is the same as that of the vanilla model. The handset packs a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.27 aperture. There is also a 16MP portrait lens with f/2.23 aperture, 60mm focal length, 2.5x optical zoom, and OIS. For selfies, it offers a 16MP shooter with an f/2.45 aperture.
Similar to the iQOO 9, the Pro variant also packs a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging. Additionally, it also supports 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The handset retails in two variants —Orange and BMW Motorsport Edition. The Orange colour variant of the device measures 164.81 × 75.2 × 8.83mm and weighs 210grams. Whereas, the BMW Motorsport Edition weighs 204grams and measures 164.81 × 75.2 × 9.21mm.
iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro Pricing and Availability
The iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro retail in three configurations—8GB + 256GB, 8GB + 512GB, and 12GB + 512GB. These devices will be available for purchase in China starting January 12. Let’s take a look at the variant-wise pricing:
