Vivo’s sub-brand, iQOO, has introduced its gaming-centric smartphone, the iQOO Neo 6 in the Indian market. The iQOO Neo 6 for India is actually a rebranded iQOO Neo 6 SE which was released for the Chinese market. The smartphone packs in an AMOLED display, high screen refresh rate, a triple camera setup, stereo speakers, X-Axis linear motor, and fast charging support, among others.

The iQOO Neo 6 gets a redesigned rear with a new camera island. In terms of build, it is a step down as it comes with a polycarbonate rear panel as opposed to the glass back of the iQOO 7. However, it comes with a frosted matte glass finish with gradient treatment, which might feel premium in the hand. The chassis is built out of polycarbonate, just like the iQOO 7.
The iQOO Neo 6 flaunts a 6.62-inch E4 AMOLED by Samsung and comes with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The display supports HDR10+, 1300 nits peak brightness, and comes with SGS Eye Care certification. It is protected by a Schott Xensation Up glass at the front.

You can game at a constant 60fps in games like Call of Duty Mobile and BGMI/PUBG. The brand says that it has partnered with BGMI to unlock the 90fps mode, which will be available via an OTA update in the future. The company has also employed a large 36,907mm² cooling vapour chamber to keep its thermals in check for sustained gaming performance. The smartphone is equipped with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of Enhanced UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of camera, it’s a downgrade when compared to the iQOO 7 of 2021. The iQOO Neo 6 gets a 64MP Samsung GW1P primary sensor as against the 48MP Sony IMX598 sensor of the iQOO 7. The primary camera also gets OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) for blur-free images and videos. The ultrawide shooter is an 8MP sensor as opposed to the 13MP sensor of the iQOO 7. The third camera is a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. Selfie and video calling duties are handled by the 16MP front-facing snapper housed in the centrally placed hole-punch camera cutout on the display.
Some noteworthy features of the iQOO Neo 6 include support for four 5G bands, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, in-display fingerprint sensor, X-Axis linear vibration motor, 4D game vibration, USB 2.0 Type-C port, and GPS among others. The device is powered by a 4700mAh battery under its hood coupled with an 80W fast charging support. The handset runs on FuntouchOS 12 on top of Android 12 out of the box. The brand promises two major Android OS updates, which means it will get the Android 12 and Android 13 updates in the future.
iQOO Neo 6: Price, Availability
The iQOO Neo 6 is priced at ₹29,999 in India. You can avail of a flat discount of ₹3,000 on ICICI credit/debit cards and EMI transactions. Furthermore, you will get an Amazon discount coupon of ₹1,000. These discounts bring the price down to ₹25,999, which is lower than that of the iQOO 7. Additionally, you can get an exchange discount of ₹3,000. The brand is also offering a two-year warranty on this product. These offers are valid till June 5, 2022. The sale starts today and the handset will be offered in Cyber Rage and Dark Nova colours. It is available for purchase via Amazon.
