Itel has launched a new entry-level smartphone in India, dubbed the Itel A49. This latest offering by Itel comes with a 6.6-inch HD+ display. The handset ships with 2GB of RAM and packs 32GB of internal storage. The device runs Android 11 Go Edition out of the box. The company claims that the Itel A49 is one of the most affordable smartphone in India which boasts of an HD+ display.

The Itel A49 comes in a sole 2GB RAM + 32GB internal storage configuration. The device is priced at ₹6,499 in India. The handset is available in three colour options – Crystal Purple, Dome Blue, and Sky Cyan. As a part of the launch, Itel is offering a free one-time screen for the customers, if the screen breaks within 100 days of purchase.

The display panel has a water-drop-notch at the top which houses the selfie camera. Powering this latest entry-level smartphone is an unspecified 1.4GHz quad-core processor.
The device packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. As for the software, the A49 boots Android 11 Go Edition out of the box. On the backside, the A49 features a dual-camera setup which consists of a 5MP main camera and a VGA sensor. Selfies and video calls can be made using a 5MP front camera.
Keeping the lights on is a 4,000mAh battery. The device has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and an AI face unlock support. The Itel A49 could compete with the likes of the JioPhone Next in India.
