Vivo is set to launch its next foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold+ 5G, in China on September 26. And ahead of the launch, we got a good look at the phone’s design and some of the key specs, which indicates that the company is planning a power grab for the spot for the best foldable smartphone in the market.
The Vivo X Fold+ 5G has been spotted on the Wireless Power Consortium, with the model number V2229A, by MySmartPrice. The listing reveals the design, key specs, and camera features ahead of the September 26 launch.

Vivo has been building up a lot of hype, teasing some of the key features of the foldable phone. And by the looks of it, this one’s going to be a clear challenger to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2.
Vivo X Fold+ 5G Design And Specs Revealed On Wireless Power Consortium
According to the listing, the Vivo X Fold+ 5G will have a wider, more regular sized display on the cover, with a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. The rear panel also looks quite similar to its X80 Pro flagship, with a circular camera module housed in a rectangular island. The interesting bit is the quad-camera setup in the camera module. There’s also the Zeiss logo, confirming the ongoing collaboration.
Vivo X Fold+ 5G Expected Specifications And Features
Vivo has already confirmed the X Fold+ 5G will feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and support 80W fast charging, along with 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. The foldable phone will pack a 4,730mAh battery.
Among the upgrades is a new durable hinge that opens the 120Hz foldable display. The phone is expected to pack an 8.03-inch foldable display and a 6.533-inch cover display.
The rear camera stack is expected to include a 50MP primary camera, 48MP ultrawide camera, 12MP portrait camera, and an 8MP periscope telephoto camera. The punch-hole cover display is expected to house a 32MP selfie camera.
The company has already confirmed red and blue colour variants of the X Fold+ 5G. Along with that, there could be black/grey option too, going by the renders in the listing.
