The Kia EV6 electric car was spotted undergoing testing in India recently. The EV was globally unveiled back in 2021, and now the Korean automaker is all set to test the EV market in India with its first electric vehicle.
It will be introduced in India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) as opposed to a locally manufactured or assembled product. This implies that it will attract hefty import duties levied by the government of India. So, it will come at a premium price and don’t expect it to be priced as low as the MG ZS EV or Hyundai Kona Electric. Going by the spy pictures, it seems like the range-topping GT variant with all the bells and whistles. However, Kia is expected to bring lower variants as well.
