Lava has launched a new smartphone in the Indian market today dubbed the Lava Z2 Max. It comes as an advanced version of the Lava Z2 that was launched in India last year. The Lava Z2 Max is an entry-level smartphone. However, it boasts a massive, 7-inch display, something that is rare in the entry-level smartphone segment. With a price tag of Rs 7,799, the Lava Z2 Max competes directly with the Redmi 9i and the Realme C21.

Lava Z2 Max price in India
The Lava Z2 Max price in India is Rs 7,799 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. It is the only memory configuration on offer. The Lava Z2 Max is available to purchase through the brand’s official online store as well as from Lava’s authorized offline retails outlets. Lava has not announced any discount offers for the Lava Z2 Max.
Lava Z2 Max specifications
The Lava Z2 Max features a 7-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution. The display has a V-shaped notch at the top for the selfie camera and the screen is protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Powering the Lava Z2 Max is the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC. This chipset is made on a 12nm manufacturing process and it has eight Cortex-A53 CPU cores and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The phone packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It ships with the Android Go operating system and has a stock Android UI.
In terms of imaging, you get a 13MP primary camera at the rear with a 2MP unit whose purpose is currently unknown. For selfies, there is an 8MP camera. The front, as well as the rear camera, can record HD videos. The Lava Z2 Max packs a 6,000mAh battery. Connectivity options on the smartphone include two SIM card slots, 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
