Lenovo has launched a new laptop, dubbed the IdeaPad 5 Gaming Chromebook. The new Chromebook by Lenovo is targeted towards gaming enthusiasts. It has been launched in two CPU variants—Intel Core i3-1215U and Intel Core i5-1235U. The newly launched Lenovo Chromebook comes with support for various game streaming services such as Amazon Luna, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Gaming Chromebook Price, Availability

The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Gaming Chromebook is priced at $599, which roughly translates to ₹49,200 in India. The Chromebook will go on sale later this month in the global markets. However, there is no information regarding the launch of the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Gaming Chromebook in other markets including India.

In terms of specifications, the new IdeaPad 5 Gaming Chromebook features a 16-inch IPS panel that offers a 2,560×1,600 pixel (WQXGA) native resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, 350 nits of peak brightness, and a full coverage of the sRGB colour gamut. Furthermore, the panel comes with a TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification that ensures that there is no strain on the eyes during long gaming sessions.

As mentioned earlier, the new gaming Chromebook from Lenovo comes in two CPU options: Intel Core i3-1215U and Intel Core i5-1235U. The i3 option offers two performance cores, four efficiency cores, and eight threads, whereas the i5 model comes with two performance cores, eight efficiency cores, and a total of twelve threads.

In terms of storage, the Chromebook features 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. Users get multiple storage options to choose from, including 128GB of eMMC flash storage, 256GB of M.2 SSD storage, and 512GB of M.2 SSD storage. For audio, the Lenovo gaming laptop uses a quad speaker setup with 2W output. As is customary with gaming devices, it also comes with a full-size keyboard with RGB backlighting.

For connectivity, the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Gaming Chromebook offers Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi 6E, a 3.5mm combo audio jack, a microSD card slot, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, and two USB 3.2 Type-C ports that can double as a DisplayPort and Power Delivery port. The machine also features a 1080p webcam. Coming to dimensions, the latest Lenovo Gaming Chromebook measures 356.5 x 253 x 19.95 mm and weighs around 1.82 kg.
