Lenovo has launched the second-gen ThinkPad X1 Fold (2022) at IFA 2022 in Berlin. The laptop arrives with a 16.3-inch foldable OLED display which can fold down to a 12-inch screen. The newest X1 Fold is powered by 12th Gen Intel Core U9 i5 or i7 processors with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Let’s have a look a what the next-gen ThinkPad X1 Fold has on offer.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold (2022): Pricing, Availability

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold (2022) is priced at $2,499 (roughly ₹1,98,900) for the base variant. The laptop will first arrive in the US in November this year. It will come in a single Performance Black colour variant. There’s no word on the availability of the upcoming ThinkPad X1 Fold in India yet.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold (2022) features a 16.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,024×2,560 pixels. Additionally, the display features an aspect ratio of 4:3 and covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It has a peak brightness of 600 nits and supports Dolby Vision. The device folds down to a 12-inch screen.

Under the hood, the laptop features 12th Gen Intel Core U9 i5 or i7 processors. It is accompanied by an Intel Iris Xe graphics card, up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 1TB of storage.

The second-gen Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold sports a 5MP IR webcam for facial recognition. It makes use of an Intel Visual Sensing Controller (VSC) to adjust the camera automatically. The laptop supports the Lenovo Precision Pen and Precision Pen 2 stylus. Additionally, the device runs on Windows 11 out of the box.

As for the battery, the laptop packs a 48Wh unit which supports 65W Rapid Charge. According to Lenovo, it has a battery life of up to four hours when charged for 30 minutes.

When it comes to ports, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold 2022 comes with one USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a nano-SIM card slot. As for connectivity, the laptop supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. It weighs around 1.28kg without the keyboard and stand, and it weighs 1.9kg with the accessories.
