Lenovo, at CES 2022, has added a new Z-series to its ThinkPad lineup. The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 and the Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 are the first two devices to launch under the Z-series. The Lenovo ThinkPad Z-series devices are powered by the latest AMD Ryzen PRO 6000 Series processors that come with integrated Microsoft Pluton security chips.
The ThinkPad Z-series laptops feature a fingerprint sensor with Lenovo’s match-on-chip technology. These devices offer a backlit keyboard and come pre-loaded with Windows 11. Let us take a closer look at the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 and ThinkPad Z16 specifications and features.
Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 Specifications, Price and Availability
The ThinkPad 13 flaunts a 13.3-inch touchscreen OLED display with 2.8K (2,880 x 1,620 pixel) resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 400nits brightness and 91.6 percent screen to body ratio. The display panel also reduces blue light emissions and also features Dolby Vision certification.

To those who are concerned about privacy, there is a shutter on the camera. Lenovo has packed the machine with a dual-microphone setup and Dolby Voice AI noise cancellation technology. It also offers a speaker with Dolby Atmos audio.
The ThinkPad Z13 is powered by an AMD Ryzen PRO U-Series processor with integrated Integrated AMD Radeon graphics. Users also have an option to go with the AMD Ryzen PRO 6860Z processor. It is available in up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage.
In terms of connectivity, the ThinkPad Z13 offers WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2. Talking about the I/O ports, you will find two USB 4.0 Type-C ports and a 3.5mm audio jack on the laptop. The laptop is equipped with a 50Whr battery with rapid charge technology. It measures 294.4 x 199.6 x 13.99 mm and weighs 1.25kg. The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 price starts at $1,549 which translates to about ₹1,15,190. It comes in Black, Bronze, and Arctic Grey colour variants and will be available starting May 2022.
Lenovo ThinkPad Z16
The ThinkPad Z16 offers a 16-inch touchscreen OLED display with 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixel) resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 400nits brightness, and 92.3% screen to body ratio. Similar to the Z13, the display on the Z16 reduces blue light emissions and also features Dolby Vision certification.
The camera and audio setup on the Z16 is exactly the same as the ThinkPad Z13, which means that you get a Full HD resolution camera with an f/2.0 aperture and privacy shutter. You also get a dual-microphone setup with Dolby Voice AI noise cancellation technology and a speaker with Dolby Atmos audio on the ThinkPad Z16.
The ThinkPad Z16 flaunts AMD Ryzen PRO H-Series processor under the hood. Users get to choose between Integrated AMD Radeon graphics and AMD Radeon RX 6500M GPU options. It is available in up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage.
In terms of I/O ports, you will find two USB 4.0 Type-C ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and the card reader on the ThinkPad Z16. Connectivity options include WiFi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2. The laptop gets a 70Whr battery with rapid charge technology. It weighs 1.97kgs and measures 354.4 x 237.4 x 15.8 mm. The Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 price starts at $2,099 which translates to about ₹1,56,090. It comes in Arctic Grey colour and will be available starting May 2022.
