Though LG has left the smartphone space, the brand is still going strong in the consumer electronics segment. Today, the brand announced their updated thin and light laptops, the LG Gram 16 and LG Gram 17, for the global markets. These laptops come with 12th-generation Intel Core CPUs and a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 GPU.
LG Gram 16 & Gram 17 Specifications
The LG Gram 16 and LG Gram 17 pack 16-inch and 17-inch displays respectively. Both come with a 16:10 aspect ratio WQXGA IPS display with a resolution of 2,560×1,600 pixels. Both these panels have an anti-glare coating and are capable of displaying 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space. These laptops come equipped with Intel’s latest 12th generation processor, which increases data processing speed by about 70% (based on i7 installation) compared to the previous 11th generation processor. These also sport the latest 4th generation storage device (SSD) and the latest low-power memory, which has improved performance by 22% compared to existing products.
Both the LG Gram 16 and Gram 17 come with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 GPU and pack a 90Wh battery. Both the models offer several convenience features, such as the ability to detect if the user has walked away or if there is another person behind the user, and then dim the display or display a warning message. When a separate monitor is connected for multi-tasking, the webcam tracks your sight and shifts to the content between the two screens.
