Apple unveiled the new MacBook Air with the latest M2 chipset during the WWDC 2022. However, this does not mean that the iPhone maker will stop selling its last-gen MacBook Air M1. It will still be available for purchase, albeit at an increased price. Yes! You read that right. Contrary to the brand’s usual tradition of decreasing the prices of its older generation products, Apple has instead hiked the price of the MacBook Air M1 in India.
Let’s take a look at how much the MacBook Air M1 will now cost you in India.
MacBook Air M1 Price In India Increased
Apple has increased the price of the base variant of the MacBook Air M1, which comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, by ₹7,000. This means that the machine will now cost you ₹99,900. This is 7.5 percent more than the original cost of the MacBook Air M1. On the other hand, the 8GB RAM and 512GB storage variant of the MacBook Air M1 now costs ₹1,19,900. Although not much, it is still more than the original price of the variant (₹1,17,900).

Powering the MacBook Air M1 is the brand’s in-house M1 chipset, which is paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 2TB onboard memory.
Coming to the battery of the laptop, the MacBook Air M1 has a 49.9Whr battery, which is said to deliver up to 15 hours of battery life. The laptop comes with a 30W USB Type-C charging port. Furthermore, it has two Thunderbolt 3 ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. For audio, the MacBook Air M1 comes with a stereo speaker setup with support for Dolby Atmos.
