For the iPhone 14 models, we may see Apple adopting the hole-punch display design for the iPhone 14 series. However, according to some other leaks, it won’t get a single hole-punch design but a pill-shaped design, similar to the original Oneplus Nord. Renders by Angelo Libero suggest that the pill-shaped hole-punch will be centrally placed and will house the front camera, Dot projector, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. So expect it to retain the Face ID unlock system, and Apple may not implement the in-display fingerprint sensor after all.
Gurman believes that Apple will revamp the design of the new 2022 MacBook Air and will install a new M2 chip inside. It is expected to come with incremental upgrades over the M1 chip. According to him, the M2 chip will be an 8-core CPU coupled with either a 9-core or 10-core GPU, which should perform better than the current 7-core and 8-core GPUs on the MacBook Air. Mac Pro desktop tower is likely to launch this year replete with Apple’s 40-core CPU and a whopping 128-core GPU. It could be accompanied by the new Mac Mini and a bigger iMac.
The much-speculated Apple AR/VR headset may finally be unveiled at the Apple WWDC 2022 (Worldwide Developer Conference). The Cupertino-based firm is also gearing up to launch its latest iPhone SE 2022 with 5G, an iPad Pro with wireless charging support, and a new version of the Apple Watch in 2022, according to Gurman.
