Mahindra To Unveil Five Electric SUVs In India On August 15

Mahindra has been hinting at its impending line of SUVs that are all electric for some time. Five new SUVs that will be launched on August 15 are now seen in a new teaser film. The company recently released a teaser that featured their SUV selection. Four of the five SUVs displayed appear to be coupe-SUVs, while the fifth appears to be an electrified version of Mahindra’s existing top-of-the-line XUV700.

Only the silhouettes of the future electric SUVs are seen in the teaser, which withholds any other information. The new EVs will be displayed by Pratap Bose, principal designer at Mahindra at the company’s Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) office in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom. The slogan “born electric” mentioned in the teasers, indicates that each and every SUV has been built from the ground up to be an electric vehicle.

Three silhouettes with C-shaped LED trademark lighting on the front and rear were shown in an earlier teaser by the company. The most recent teaser lacked aesthetic features relating to electric vehicles (EVs), which were present in the previous teaser.

Mahindra now sells the 2o, e2o Plus, and eVerito electric vehicle models in the country, but it is losing market share to companies like Tata, Hyundai, and MG. These five electric SUVs are still mostly unknown, but Mahindra is anticipated to reveal additional information leading up to their Independence Day 2022 debut.
