Meta first debuted 3D avatars a few years ago, and now the business is bringing the capability to Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger users in India. The new avatars are more expressive, adaptable, and diverse. Meta is also developing new facial shapes and scenarios for a wide range of customers.
The new 3D avatars will be available on Facebook and Messenger, as well as Instagram Stories. It will come to DMs in the future. Stickers, feed updates, Facebook profile photographs, and other items already have the feature. Meta has been creating new customisation capabilities that allow users to create more detailed digital representations of themselves. These new features are expected to extend the platform and increase inclusivity.

Commenting on the launch, Meta India Director and Head Partnerships Manish Chopra, said, “Avatars are just the first step toward enabling everyone to express themselves in their unique ways. When you create your avatar you can choose the right facial features, body types, clothing styles, and more to create your virtual self. We offered more than one quintillion different combinations when we launched our updated avatars last year, and we’re continuing to add more options to give people even more ways to express themselves.”
