Alongside the Surface Duo 2 smartphone, Microsoft also launched the Surface Go 3 and the non-LTE version of the Surface Pro X. The Surface Pro X now comes in a Wi-Fi-only variant alongside the LTE model, which means that it has a lower starting price compared to the LTE variant. You can still choose between Microsoft’s ARM-based SQ-1 and SQ-2 processors, depending on your needs. The Surface Go 3 is an affordable 2-in-1 laptop from Microsoft that comes powered by the faster Intel Core i3 processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB SSD for storage, an 8MP rear camera, Windows 11 OS, and up to 11 hours of battery life on a single charge. It will be available for pre-order starting today in the US. The Microsoft Surface Go 3 is priced at $399.99 (around ₹29,483) and it is now available for pre-order on the Microsoft Store in the select markets. Microsoft is yet to disclose the pricing of the LTE model.
Microsoft Surface Go 3 Specifications, Features
The Microsoft Surface Go 3 specifications include a 10.5-inch touchscreen display with Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,280 pixels), 220ppi pixel density, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The screen also supports the Surface Pen stylus for taking notes and drawing. The Surface Go 3 comes in Intel Gold 6500Y Pentium and Intel Core i3-10100Y CPU variants. It packs 4GB/8GB LPDDR4x RAM. Storage options include the slow 64GB eMMC and 128GB SSD. It has a full-sized SDXC card slot, too. On the software side of things, the device boots Windows 11 Home out of the box.
Other features of the Surface Go 3 include a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, an 8MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing selfie camera with Windows Hello authentication for secure face unlock. Microsoft claims that the Surface Go 3 can last up to 11 hours on a single charge, thanks to its 28Whr battery. You can add a Surface Go Type Cover or any other wired or wireless keyboard to do some proper work on the Surface Go 3. It has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and magnetometer.
Microsoft Surface Pro X Specifications, Features
The Microsoft Surface Pro X features a 13.3-inch PixelSense touchscreen IPS LCD display that has a resolution of 2,880 x 1,920 pixels, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of 267ppi. Under the hood, the Surface X Pro is powered by Microsoft’s ARM-based SQ-1 and SQ-2 processors, which are aided with Adreno 685 and Adreno 690 GPUs, respectively. It packs 8GB/16GB LPDDR4x RAM and is available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB SSD storage options. As for the software, the Wi-Fi-only variant of the Surface Pro X will run Windows 11 Home out of the box. The current LTE model boots Windows 10 Home on ARM, but it will get the Windows 11 update on October 5, 2021.
In terms of connectivity, both these variants offer Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, two USB Type-C ports, one Surface Connect port, and a Surface Keyboard port. Other features of the Surface Pro X include a 10MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and 2W speakers with Dolby Audio. The front-facing camera supports Full HD video recording and Windows Hello face authentication. The rear-facing camera supports up to 4K video recording. The Surface Pro X is powered by a 45.8Whr battery and can last up to 15 hours on a single charge.
