Microsoft intends to roll out version 22H2, the next significant upgrade to Windows 11 on September 20, 2022. This news comes from The Verge who were informed by sources with knowledge of Microsoft’s plans. A week after the company’s customary Patch Tuesday repairs, Microsoft will begin to distribute Windows 11 22H2 via a Windows Update on September 20.

The company is also introducing a new Live Captions accessibility tool with 22H2, which is perfect for those who are hard of hearing as well as anybody else who wishes to automatically caption audio. Similarly, a new Voice Access feature is also being added that enables users to operate their PCs with voice commands.
In the upcoming major Windows 11 update, the Task Manager is also being completely redesigned. It will have a new dark mode, a much-improved layout, a new command bar, and an efficiency mode that restricts the resources that can be used by certain programs. The company is also developing File Explorer tabs, which might appear in a later version.

Microsoft plans to release new products to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Surface. The new 22H2 build of Windows 11 will most likelycome preinstalled on these Surface devices. The Windows 11 22H2 upgrade is expected to be released on September 20. In addition, the company is also preparing for its Ignite conference, which will take place in Seattle from October 12 to 14.
