The key highlights of the new editing tool include a timeline that allows users to go back and forth within a video, trim and add to the video when editing. Further, it uses a combination of templates and a library of filters, transitions, stock media, and styles to let people create videos with multi-track audio support. To top it all, Microsoft has added an Azure-powered text-to-speech generator for creators to use voiceovers in over 70 languages.
Microsoft Family App And Search Highlights Feature For Windows 11
Microsoft Family comes as the reorganization of the Family Safety mobile app launched back in 2020 alongside the consumer version of Microsoft Teams to make it a built-in Windows app. The app allows you to manage the family settings for your Microsoft account. You can limit screen time for your kids, set content restrictions, and even locate family members in real-time, with their consent.
Interestingly, the Family app ships only with Windows 11 Home editions. Windows 11 Pro users can download the app from the Microsoft Store by heading to Settings > Accounts > Family.
Besides the aforementioned apps, Microsoft will roll out a new feature called Search Highlights to the search app. Search Highlights will show relevant information related to your searches, including what’s special about the day. It will also include information such as Holidays, anniversaries, and other educational moments related to you. The feature will also be available for Windows 10 users.
Search Highlights will present notable and interesting moments—like holidays, anniversaries, and other educational moments in time both globally and in your region. You’ll find rich, bold content in search home that highlights what’s special about today.
