If rumours are to be believed, the Moto Edge could come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 processor that is expected to be announced later this month. To those unaware, Snapdragon 898 is expected to be announced during the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021 which is scheduled from November 30 to December 2, 2021.
There is a good chance that Motorola uses Qualcomm’s current-gen top-tier silicon—Snapdragon 888—on the upcoming smartphone. To those unaware, even a year after the announcement, Moto doesn’t have a Snapdragon 888 powered smartphone under its portfolio yet.
Unfortunately, Moto decided not to reveal anything else about the upcoming handset. However, we hope that the company will reveal key specifications and features of the upcoming smartphone via more teasers. The Moto Edge X might come with a 144Hz refresh rate AMOLED display.
Recently, a Motorola smartphone with model number XT2201-2 made an appearance on China’s CCC certification website. It could be the upcoming Moto Edge X. The certification website revealed that the upcoming Moto handset will support 68.2W fast charging. The phone is expected to feature a 108MP camera and 4,500mAh battery. We will have to wait for more teasers to learn more about the upcoming Moto Edge X.
