Motorola has taken the wraps off two new mid-range G-series smartphones, dubbed the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) and the Moto G 5G (2022). Both devices come as successors to the previous-gen Moto G Stylus 5G and Moto G 5G and come with incremental upgrades over them. The Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) features a 6.8-inch 120Hz FHD+ display, a Snapdragon 695 processor, and a 5,000mAh battery, while the Moto G 5G (2022) comes with 6.5-inch HD+ panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.

Moto G Stylus 5G (2022), Moto G 5G (2022) Price, Availability

Starting with the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022), the device is priced at $499.99 (around ₹38,000) and will be available in Steel Blue and Seafoam Green colours starting April 28. The Moto G 5G (2022), on the other hand, is priced at $399.99 (around ₹30,000) and will be available in the US starting May 19. Both devices are yet to be announced for the Indian market and the brand has not revealed anything about the launch till date.

Starting with the display of the device, the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) features a 6.8-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with a 20.5:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, which is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS2.1 storage. The internal storage has scope for further expansion by up to 1TB with the help of an external SD card.

Coming to the software, the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) boots the latest Android 12-based myUX skin out of the box. In terms of cameras, the device has a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP selfie camera.

In terms of battery, the device has a 5,000mAh battery with scope for TurboPower 10 fast charging. The device is also Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 capable. Connectivity features of the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) include 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo.

Coming to the Moto G 5G (2022), the device has a 6.5-inch HD+ MaxVision display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the Moto G 5G (2022) comes powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, which is coupled with 6GB RAM and 256GB expandable memory.

On the software side of things, the handset boots Android 12-based myUX skin out of the box. For photography and videography, the Moto G 5G (2022) has a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 13MP front camera.

Coming to the battery of the device, the Moto G 5G (2022) sports a 5,000mAh battery with support for a standard 10W charging. The smartphone retains a 3.5mm headphone jack, bottom-ported speaker with smart PA, and Dolby Atmos support. Connectivity features of the Moto G 5G (2022) include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and GLONASS.
