Moto G22 With Helio G37 SoC, Android 12 Launched In India: Price, Specifications

Motorola has finally released their latest affordable smartphone, the Moto G22, in India. The smartphone, which made its global debut barely a month ago, brings the popular G-series at a more accessible price point. The device has only been released in a single model with two colour options in India. It also introduces a new design to Motorola’s lower-end smartphones, and will undoubtedly be a market draw.

Moto G22 Specifications

The Moto G22 features a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz and flat corners. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G37 SoC. This is the first smartphone to be powered by this chip in India. It will be available in the country with a single RAM/storage configuration of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

The Moto G22 comes pre-installed with Android 12 and Motorola‘s proprietary skin, My UX, on top. It also comes with the promise of future updates, but the number of updates is limited to two due to the price. The handset has a quad rear camera arrangement with a main 50MP camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro camera. In the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera. The Moto G22 also gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W turbocharging.

Moto G22 Price

The Moto G22 is available in two colours—Mint Green and Cosmic Black. It is only available in a single configuration with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage for ₹10,999. Motorola will offer a ₹1,000 discount on chosen credit/debit cards as part of the launch offerings, bringing the effective price down to ₹9,999. The smartphone will be sold exclusively on Flipkart starting April 13th.
