Moto G22 Confirmed To Launch On April 8 In India

Motorola’s Moto G22 made its global debut last month as the company’s latest mid-range G-series smartphone. The brand has now confirmed that it will launch the Moto G22 in India on April 8. A landing page for the smartphone is now live on the Indian e-commerce platform Flipkart. Besides confirming the India launch of the device, the page also reveals that the Indian variant of the Moto G22 will have the same specifications and features as the global variant.

Moto G22 India Launch Date Confirmed

Motorola has finally confirmed the launch date of the Moto G22 smartphone for the Indian market. A micro-site has gone live on Flipkart, which confirms that the device will launch in India on April 8. Notably, the Motorola Moto G22 was launched in the European markets last month.

Moto G22 Price In India (Expected)

The Moto G22 price starts at €169.99 in the global market, which translates to somewhere around ₹14,000. However, the Indian pricing will likely be lower, so we can expect the Moto G22 to be priced around ₹12,000 to ₹13,000 in the country.

Moto G22 Specifications And Features

The Moto G22 features a 6.5-inch HD+LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 processor coupled with an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The Moto G22 packs in a 5,000mAh battery which supports 20W TurboPower fast charging.

For security, the smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Further, it comes with business-grade security with the ThinkShield for Mobile feature. The Moto G22 flaunts a water-repellent design and will be available in black and blue colour variants.

For photography, the smartphone comes equipped with a quad-rear camera setup which includes a 50MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide shooter, macro lens, and depth sensor. At the front, the device sports a 16MP selfie snapper. The handset also features a micro-SD card slot.
