Moto G82 5G With 10-bit pOLED, 50MP OIS Camera Launched In India: Specifications, Price

Motorola added the Moto G82 5G smartphone to its G-series of handsets portfolio in India today. The Lenovo-owned company introduced the device to the global markets last month, in May 2022. With the Moto G82 smartphone, Motorola has attempted to bring the 10-bit panel and an OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) camera at an affordable price. Let’s have a closer look at its specifications below. 

Moto G82 5G: Features, Specifications

The Moto G82 comes with a familiar Motorola design with a pill-shaped rear camera island. The handset is made out of polycarbonate but the brand has added an acrylic glass panel at the rear to enhance its appeal. It gets a centrally placed hole-punch camera cutout on the display. The Moto G82 5G is fairly slim with 7.99mm thickness and is lightweight at 173 grams. 

The smartphone sports a 6.6-inch 10-bit pOLED display capable of reproducing 1.07 billion colours. It also comes with a 120Hz screen refresh rate for a fluid UI and gaming experience. The pOLED panel has enabled Motorola to keep the bezels surrounding the screen to a minimum, which makes it look like a flagship phone from the front. 

The Moto G82 5G is powered by a 5G capable octa-core Snapdragon 695 chipset built on the 6nm fabrication process. It is a decent mid-range processor and can handle most tasks with ease, with some occasional gaming. It is equipped with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of uMCP storage. 

Another major highlight of the handset is the primary 50MP camera coupled with OIS, which is a rare commodity in this segment. The OIS allows you to get steady shots and videos and also improves night and low-light photography. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide shooter, which can double up as a macro snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. Selfie duties are handled by the 16MP sensor at the front.  

Some notable features of the handset include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, IP52 water resistance, dual 5G SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port, among others. The Moto G82 5G packs in a 5,000mAh battery coupled with 33W TurboPower fast charging support. The handset runs on nearly stock Android 12 UI out of the box.  

Moto G82 5G: Price, Availability

The Moto G82 5G comes at a starting price of ₹21,499 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at ₹22,999. SBI credit card holders can get a ₹1,500 instant discount, bringing the price down to ₹19,999 for the base variant. You can purchase the smartphone from June 14 2022 via Flipkart and Reliance Digital. It comes in Meteorite Grey and White Lily colourways.
