Motorola finally took the wraps off its highly anticipated world’s first 200MP camera smartphone, the Moto X30 Pro. It was launched in China today alongside the Moto Razr 2022 premium foldable smartphone. The Moto X30 Pro offers a 6.73-inch 10-bit pOLED, 144Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Chipset, 8K video shooting, and 125W fast charging, among other features.
Moto X30 Pro: Features, Specifications
The Moto X30 Pro comes with a premium glass and metal sandwich design. It comes with a frosted matte finish rear panel with a squarish camera island and a Motorola logo. The device sports a curved 6.73-inch 10-bit pOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 1200nits. It gets an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
The Moto X30 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile chipset, which also powers the Moto Razr 2022 foldable smartphone. The device comes with advanced vapour chamber cooling tech to reduce heating during intensive tasks like gaming and video shooting. It is equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

It is a 1/1.22” sensor with OIS, f/1.9 aperture and 16-in-1 pixel binning. It can also shoot stills at 12.5MP and 50MP resolutions. The primary camera is accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide shooter and a 12MP Sony IMX663 telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. Selfie and video calling duties are handled by a 60MP selfie camera placed in the hole-punch camera cutout on the display. Furthermore, the X30 Pro offers a full RAW domain primary colour vision and native support for all camera sensors. The primary camera can shoot up to 8K videos at 30fps.
The Motorola flagship smartphone packs in a 4,500mAh battery under its hood and comes bundled with a 125W fast charger. Motorola claims that it can charge up to 50 percent in just seven minutes and up to 100 percent in under 19 minutes. That’s not all, it also supports 50W wireless charging. On the software side of things, the handset runs on Android 12-based MyUI 4.0 OS.
Moto X30 Pro: Price, Availability
The Moto X30 Pro’s price comes as a shocker for everyone. It starts from as low as CNY 3,699 (approx. ₹43,700) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The top model with the 12GB RAM + 512 GB storage costs 4,199 Yuan (approx. ₹53,150). Motorola is yet to announce the global model. Expect the prices to be slightly higher if and when it launches in India. The device comes in black and white colour options.
