Earlier today, we reported that Motorola will be launching its 200MP camera flagship smartphone, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, on September 13, 2022, in India. According to leakster Mukul Sharma, it will be accompanied by another device, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion, which will be a relatively affordable handset. As per rumour mills, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion will be based on the Moto S30 Pro, which was launched in China last month. Let’s have a look at what it offers below.
Motorola Edge 30 Fusion: Features, Specifications (Rumoured)
The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is expected to carry the same design, build, and features as the Moto S30 Pro smartphone. It will flaunt a curved 6.55-inch OLED display, which makes it look premium. The display supports up to 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, DC Dimming, and HDR10+ support. The display comes with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
While the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra comes with the latest flagship Snapdragon processor, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion makes do with an older octa-core Snapdragon 888+ 5G chipset. To tame the Snapdragon and keep its thermals under check, Motorola has incorporated an 11-layer vapour cooling chamber with an area of 23831.89mm². It will be equipped with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

Selfie and video calling duties are handled by the 32MP camera, which sits inside the punch-hole cutout at the front.
Some noteworthy features of the handset include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos support, 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, NFC support, and IP52 rating, among others. The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion will be powered by a 4,400mAh battery with 68W fast charging. The device will run on Android 12 OS out of the box.
The Moto S30 Pro, with a premium design and curved display, was launched at a very aggressive price of CNY 2199 (roughly ₹26,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model in China. Even if it is priced for around ₹30,000 in India, it would be a steal deal.
