Motorola will be holding a launch event on September 8, 2022, where it will take the wraps off three new smartphones. The Moto Edge 30 Neo will be launched alongside the Moto Edge 30 Ultra and the Moto Edge 30 Fusion. The Edge 30 Neo will be a mid-range smartphone and the cheapest of the lot. The handset has been spotted on the Google Play Console database, revealing some key details and pictures of the device.
Earlier in August 2022, the Moto Edge 30 Neo was spotted on the benchmarking website, Geekbench. The listing revealed that the smartphone is powered by an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.2GHz. Now, the Google Play Console listing suggests that it is powered by a mobile processor SM6375, which belongs to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset. It is a mid-range 5G capable chipset and is usually found in devices around the ₹20,000 price point in India. The device will be equipped with up to 8GB of RAM.
The Google Play Console listing of the Edge 30 Neo also contains a frontal image of the upcoming Motorola smartphone. It comes with minimal and uniform bezels surrounding the screen. The handset could feature a pOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display gets a hole-punch camera cutout for the selfie camera.

Motorola has failed miserably at keeping the project under wraps, as some high-resolution renders and colour options of the device were leaked recently. At the rear, it gets a squarish camera island comprising a 64MP primary sensor, the ancillary camera, and an LED flashlight. It gets volume rockers and a power button on the right side of the display. The device comes with a USB Type-C port, a microphone, a speaker grille, and a SIM tray. The Moto Edge 30 Neo is rumoured to pack in a 4,000mAh battery pack with fast charging support. It will run on MyUX OS on top of Android 12 out of the box.
