Motorola is gearing up to launch its 200MP camera smartphone, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra in India soon. Reliable tipster Mukul Sharma suggests that the Lenovo-backed company will introduce the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra in the country on September 13, 2022. For those not in the know, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra will be a rebranded Moto X30 Pro, which was launched in August in China. The Edge 30 Ultra will be India’s first smartphone to come with a 200MP primary camera sensor. Not just the camera, the smartphone is a spec monster. Let’s have a look at its specifications below.
Motorola Edge 30 Ultra: Features, Specifications
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra flaunts a premium glass and metal sandwich design. It gets a flat rear panel with curved edges and a squarish camera island. The handset sports a curved 6.73-inch 10-bit pOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. The display can reach a peak brightness of 1200nits. It gets an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile chipset, which debuted with the Asus ROG Phone 6 series of gaming smartphones. It will be employed with advanced vapour chamber cooling tech to prevent it from overheating while gaming or video shooting. The device will be equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

It can shoot still images at 12.5MP and 50MP resolutions, and 8K video shooting at 30fps. The ancillary cameras include a 50MP ultrawide shooter and a 12MP Sony IMX663 telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. There’s a 60MP selfie camera housed in the hole-punch camera cutout on the display for selfie and video calling needs.
The device is powered by a 4,500mAh battery under its hood coupled with 125W fast charging support. The brand claims that it can charge up to 50 percent in just seven minutes and up to 100 percent in under 19 minutes. Additionally, it supports 50W wireless charging. On the software side of things, the handset runs on Android 12-based MyUI 4.0 OS.
Motorola Edge 30 Ultra: Price, Availability
The Moto X30 Pro, on which the Edge 30 Ultra is based, was launched at a shocker price of CNY 3,699 (approx. ₹43,700) for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant in China. Expect the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra to carry a price tag of ₹50,000 in India. It will come in white and black colour options.
