MSI Launches Six New Laptops in India Across GP, GL, and GF Series: Price, Specifications

MSI has launched six new gaming-oriented laptops in India across its GP, GL and GF series. Starting with the GP lineup, it now offers two new models, the GP76 Leopard and the GP66 Leopard. The GL series also gets two new laptops, the Pulse GL76 and the Pulse GL66. As for the Katana lineup, even it gets two new models, the Katana GF76 and the Katana GF66. All these newly launched laptops from MSI feature the AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPUs and the Nvidia RTX 3000 series GPUs. Let us have a look at their prices in India, specifications, and availability details.

MSI GP76, GP66, GL76, GL66, GF76, and GF66 prices in India

Let us start with the GP series. The MSI GP76 Leopard 11UG, featuring an Intel 11th generation Core i7 CPU and RTX 3070 GPU, has been priced at Rs 2,01,990. The GP66 Leopard 11UG, on the other hand, costs Rs 1,95,990 for the same configuration (an Intel 11th Gen Core i7 CPU + RTX 3070 GPU). Moving on to the GL series, the MSI Pulse GL76 11UEK packs an Intel 11th generation Core i7 CPU and RTX 3060 GPU, and it has been priced at Rs 1,45,990. Whereas, the MSI Pulse GL66 11UEK, featuring an Intel 11th Gen Core i7 CPU and RTX 3060 GPU costs Rs 1,39,990.

Coming to the Katana GF series, the Katana GF76 is available in two configurations, the GF76 11UD and the GF76 11UC. The first variant has an Intel 11th generation Core i7 CPU and RTX 3050 Ti GPU, and it comes with a price tag of Rs 1,23,990. The second model packs an Intel 11th Gen Core i7 CPU and RTX 3050 GPU. It costs Rs 1,11,990. The Katana GF66 comes in a total of four configurations. The top of the line model has an Intel 11th generation Core i7 CPU and RTX 3060 GPU. It has been priced at Rs 1,28,990. The second variant packs an Intel 11th Gen Core i7 CPU and RTX 3050 Ti GPU. It costs Rs 1,17,990. The third version costs Rs 1,06,990 and features an Intel 11th generation Core i7 CPU and RTX 3050 GPU. The fourth and the most affordable model costs Rs 95,990 and it packs an Intel 11th Gen Core i5 CPU and RTX 3050 GPU.

MSI GP76 Leopard and GP66 Leopard specifications

The MSI GP76 Leopard features a 17.3-inch LCD with FHD resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. The MSI GP66 Leopard, on the other hand, has a 15.6-inch LCD with full-HD resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. These screens, according to the brand, have nearly 100% coverage of the sRGB colour space.

Both laptops have Intel 11th Gen Core i7 CPUs. The brand, however, has not revealed the processor model. In terms of graphics, both models have the Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU. As for the memory, these laptops have two SODIMM slots that support up to 64GB memory at 3,200MHz. For storage, there is one PCIe Gen4 x4 slot and one PCIe Gen3 x4 slot for NVMe modules.

Connectivity options of these laptops include dual-band Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, three USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, and one Mini Displayport port. Both laptops have a 65WHr battery and they ship with a 280W power adapter. Other features include two speakers in a stereo configuration, a per-key RGB keyboard from SteelSeries, and an HD webcam.

MSI Pulse GL76 and Pulse GL66 specifications

The MSI Pulse GL76 comes with a 17.3-inch display featuring LCD technology, full-HD resolution, and a 144Hz refresh rate. Whereas, the Pulse GL66 has a 15.6-inch LCD with FHD resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The brand claims that these displays cover almost 100% of the sRGB colour space.

The MSI Pulse GL76 and the MSI Pulse GL66 feature Intel 11th Gen Core i7 processors. The exact processor model, however, has not been revealed. As for the graphics, you get the Nvidia RTX 3060. In terms of memory, there are two SODIMM slots supporting up to 64GB of RAM at up to 3,200MHz frequency. There are also two PCIe Gen3 x4 slots for NVMe.

While the MSI Pulse GL76 packs a 53WHr battery, the Pulse GL66 packs a 53.5WHr battery. Both ship with 180W power adapters. You get one USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, two USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB Type-A 2.0 port, one RJ45 port, one HDMI 2.0 port, and one 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.2. There is also an RGB keyboard and an HD webcam.

MSI Katana GF76 and Katana GF66 specifications

The MSI GF76 has a 17.3-inch LCD with FHD resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The GF66, on the other hand, has a 15.6-inch LCD with full-HD resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. MSI claims that these display panels are “IPS-level.”

The MSI Katana GF76 and the Katana GF66 feature Intel 11th Gen Core i7 CPUs, whereas, the latter model is also available with Intel 11th generation Core i5 processors. While the Katana GF76 is available with RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti GPUs, the Katana GF66 can be had in RTX 3050, RTX 3050 Ti, and RTX 3060 GPUs. You get two SODIMM slots with up to 64GB 3,200MHz memory and two PCIe Gen3 x4 SSD slots.

Both laptops have 53.5WHr batteries and the brand ships these models with 180W power adapters. Connectivity options include one USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, two USB USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB Type-A 2.0 port, one RJ45 port, one HDMI 2.0 port, one 3.5mm audio jack, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth v5.2. These laptops have an HD webcam and are available with blue or red backlight keyboards.
