Samsung had recently released the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 Beta update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The update has restricted the screen refresh rate of the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s cover display to 60Hz despite it being a 120Hz display. Now, after a couple of weeks, Samsung is rolling out a second Android 12 Beta update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, which promises to fix that screen refresh rate bug and other major bugs found in the previous build.
The new update comes with a firmware version ending ZUKA, and it will roll out for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 users enrolled in the Android 12 based One UI 4.0 Beta program. The update will fix the screen refresh rate issue of the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s cover screen. It promises that it will now run on 120Hz without any hiccups. Both the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 will get improved transitions between the main screen and cover screen.
