Earlier this year, Nothing made its debut in the consumer tech space with the Nothing ear (1) true wireless stereo in-ear monitors (IEM). The IEM gathered a lot of attention and has been the talk of the town not only for its transparent design but also for its value for money proposition.
The London-based brand initially launched the Nothing ear (1) TWS in a single colour: white. However, a few months after the launch, the company has now introduced a new Nothing ear (1) black edition.
Nothing claims that the new black edition of the ear (1) is carbon neutral. The company says that it has adopted renewable energy certificates for the manufacturing process in order to neutralise its 1.78kg carbon footprint. It has also purchased additional carbon credits from Verified Carbon Standard to offset the remaining emissions. The new Nothing ear (1) black edition retains the semi-transparent case design of its predecessor. However, this time around, the bottom half of the case has a matte black finish. The upper portion of the earbuds along with the ear tips are also matte black whereas the stem remains transparent.
