Nothing had launched its Launcher for Android in beta for a limited number of devices last month. Initially, the Nothing Launcher beta was available for a select number of devices including Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, Google Pixel 5, and Pixel 6 series phones. As promised, the company has now expanded the launcher’s compatibility to all Android devices running Android 11 or later.
For those unaware, Nothing was founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei. Nothing Launcher beta is a beta preview of Nothing OS, which provides an Android experience combined with Nothing’s iconic design language.
New Nothing Launcher Update Features
The newest Nothing Launcher beta is now available for all Android devices running Android 11 or higher. Besides expanded compatibility with more Android smartphones, the latest update also brings in a host of new features, including a link to download wallpapers and ringtones directly from the launch settings.

Other unique features of the latest Nothing Launcher beta include Max Icons and Max Folders, that allow users to enlarge individual apps or app folders by using a tap and hold action. Plus, there is a Clock and Weather widget, presented in Nothing’s dot-matrix style.
New Nothing Launcher features can be summed up as follows:
- Launcher app icon is now available on the home screen.
- There is a new ‘How to Set Up’ page when you open Launcher for the first time.
- You can easily change to the Nothing wallpaper with the pop-up box.
- For easy access, the Dropbox link to download bonus wallpapers and ringtones now sits in Launcher settings.
The Nothing launcher is available for download on the Google Play Store. However, you’ll need to set it manually by heading to Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Default Home App.
