Nothing is preparing for the launch of its first smartphone, dubbed the Nothing Phone (1). The device is confirmed to launch in India on July 12. Ahead of the official launch, we have been learning a few key details of the device courtesy of Nothing and a bunch of leaks. Now, ahead of the launch, Nothing has confirmed that the Nothing Phone (1) will be manufactured in India. The company’s VP and GM, Manu Sharma said “We are thrilled to announce that every phone (1) sold in India will be manufactured locally”. He further added that “Nothing phone (1) is the real start of our journey, and we cannot think of a better way to establish ourselves in India, which is a key market for us”.

The handset will be sold in India via Flipkart. For this upcoming device, the brand is expanding its customer support in the region to over 270 authorized service centers in more than 250 cities.
Nothing Phone (1) Expected Specifications
Moving onto the leaked specifications, the device is expected to sport a 6.55-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution. Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to pack the newly launched Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. We can expect the smartphone to ship with at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
As for the software, this upcoming device might run Android 12 out of the box with Nothing Launcher on top. In terms of the optics department, the smartphone might sport a 50MP main camera which could offer optical image stabilization (OIS) support. The 50MP sensor could be paired with 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor at the back.
The device is also confirmed to feature a transparent back. We can expect the phone to come equipped with either a 4,500mAh or 5,000mAh battery. As per the rumor, the device shall offer up to 45W fast charging support. The handset recently is also confirmed to support wireless charging.
