Carl Pei’s new startup, Nothing, is poised to introduce its first smartphone, the Nothing Phone (1), today, July 12 at 8.30 PM IST in India. The event will be live-streamed on the company’s official YouTube page. With its transparent aesthetics and intriguing marketing strategy, the company has already garnered headlines. The business had previously showcased the design of the smartphone. The Glyph LED light interface on the transparent back panel of the Nothing Phone (1) is one of the smartphone’s key distinguishing features.

How to Watch the Nothing Phone (1) Launch Live-Stream

After teasing its inaugural smartphone, the Phone (1), during the “The Truth” event on March 23, Nothing is slated to unveil the phone today at 4 PM BST in its launch event, officially named “Return to Instinct.” 4PM BST translates to 8:30 PM for India, 8 AM PDT, and 11 AM EDT. Nothing Phone (1) Expected Specifications

The Nothing Phone (1) is believed to have a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 778+ 5G chipset, which will be combined with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone will boot Android 12 with the Nothing OS custom skin on top.

The Nothing Phone (1) will be equipped with a dual-camera system, featuring a 50MP primary sensor and a 16MP secondary ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, it is expected to include a 16MP camera for selfies and video chats. The handset is believed to include a 4,500mAh battery that can be recharged via a USB Type-C port. We expect support for 33W fast charging and 5W reverse wireless charging to be included. Surprisingly, some rumours suggest that the phone will not be shipped with a charger.

Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, Dolby Atmos compatibility, and dual speakers. There may be 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and NFC connection options.

Nothing Phone (1) Price in India

According to an earlier claim published by a Twitter user, the Nothing Phone (1) will cost ₹34,999 in India for the 8GB + 128GB model. The Nothing Phone (1) is expected to be released in the nation in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB configurations.
