Ola Electric continues to increase its manufacturing capabilities and was recently named the market leader in the electric two-wheeler category. The next e-scooter purchasing window is set to open this weekend. Prospective purchasers who have previously placed a reservation, as with prior booking windows, will be able to order it as soon as the buying window opens.
Buyers will be able to book their scooters through the Ola app. Although the company will begin accepting bookings on May 21, there’s no word on how long the booking window will be open this time. Ola opened its last buying window on March 17 and 18 of this year and announced at the time that it will be raising prices in the future. When the window opens this weekend, expect the S1 and S1 Pro to be more pricey. The S1 and S1 Pro are now priced at ₹85,099 and ₹1,10,149, respectively (ex-showroom Delhi, after FAME-II and state subsidies).

Thus, it’s safe to assume that this fresh batch of scooters will be equipped with the updated VCU right out of the box. Ola is also beta testing their new MoveOS 2, which was meant to go live in April. Navigation and cruise control will be available with this new build. Furthermore, the company has been able to address current concerns with their scooters, such as accidental reversing.
