OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9R go on sale in India today: Specifications, prices, offers

The OnePlus 9 series was launched in India last month. During the launch event, the brand had announced that the OnePlus 9 Pro will go on sale in the country on April 1. Whereas, the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9R will go on sale in the Indian market on April 15. As scheduled, the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9R have gone on sale in India today. If you have been eyeing these devices, here is everything you need to know about the two smartphones including their price, availability, and specifications.

OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9R price in India, offers, and availability details

The OnePlus 9 comes in two variants, 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB. The former costs Rs 49,999, whereas, the latter will set you back by Rs 54,999. The smartphone is available with three color options, Astral Black, Arctic Sky, and Winter Mist.

As for the OnePlus 9R, its 8GB+128GB version is priced at Rs 39,999 and the the 12GB+256Gb variant costs Rs 43,999. It comes in two color options, Carbon Black and Lake Blue.

The OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9R are available to purchase from Amazon India and the brand’s official online store for the Indian market.

OnePlus 9 specifications

The OnePlus 9 features a 6.55-inch AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz variable refresh rate, 1,100 nits brightness, HDR 10+, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. As mentioned earlier, you can get the device in 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB memory configurations. The smartphone ships with Android 11 that has OxygenOS 11.3.3 on top.

The OnePlus 9 has a 48MP primary camera with PDAF, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The primary camera can record 4K videos at 60 frames per second or 8K videos at 30 frames per second. The front-facing camera has a 16MP resolution.

The device has a 4,500mAh battery with 65W charging support. There is also 15W wireless charging on offer. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Other features include stereo speakers and Hasselblad Color Calibration for the rear camera setup.

OnePlus 9R specifications

The OnePlus 9R features the same display as the OnePlus 9; a 6.55-inch AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz variable refresh rate, HDR10+, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Powering the OnePlus 9R is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC; it is a slightly more powerful version of the Snapdragon 865+. Users have two memory configurations to choose from as I mentioned earlier; 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB. On the software side of things, the OnePlus 9R runs on Android 11 with OxygenOS 11.

The OnePlus 9R has a 48MP primary camera + 16MP ultrawide camera + 5MP macro camera + 2MP depth sensor. The primary camera can record 4K videos at 60 frames per second. For selfies, you get a 16MP shooter.

The phone is backed by a 4,500mAh battery supporting 65W charging that fills up the battery from zero to 100 percent in just 39 minutes. The OnePlus 9R has 5G, dual-SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port, and stereo speakers.
